How to apply
Pick up and submit applications in person at Local Union #241 in Albany every Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., excluding legal holidays, during the recruitment period.
Job requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have completed at least 10th grade education.
- Must achieve a minimum score of 40 points on the evaluation form in order to be placed on the rank list.
- Must sign a statement and be physically able to perform the work required of a Roofer, including lifting 70 pounds, working at heights on low-pitch and steep roofing, climbing ladders and scaffolding, and working in hot and cold weather.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from various job sites and required classes at the approved school.
- Must pass a drug test, at the expense of the sponsor, after selection and prior to enrollment in apprenticeship.
