How to apply
Apply in person only at Local Union #435, 754 Lexington Ave, Rochester, NY, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. during the recruitment period. Applications must stay on the premises and be received by March 14, 2027.
Job requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a high school diploma or a high school equivalency diploma (such as TASC or GED).
- Must attest that they are physically able to do the work of a skilled construction craft laborer, which may require consistently lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Must pass a Non-DOT drug screening, at the expense of the sponsor, after selection and prior to enrollment in apprenticeship.
- Must be willing to work outdoors and in a variety of weather conditions.
- Must be able to work in an environment with strong odors and loud noises.
- Must be legally able to work in the United States.
- Must possess a valid NYS driver’s license in order to drive company’s vehicle.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from various work locations and required classes at the approved classroom instruction locations.
