How to apply

Job requirements
- Must be at least 17 years old.
- Must attest in writing that they are physically able to perform the work of a Linoleum, Resilient Tile and Carpet Layer apprentice, including working with stationary and portable hand and power tools; standing and stooping for prolonged periods; working in all types of weather, including extreme heat and cold; performing constant repetitive motions; and lifting/holding items that weigh at least 50 lbs.
- Must pass a drug test at the sponsor’s expense after selection and before enrollment in apprenticeship. If the applicant tests positive, they cannot reapply for one year.
- Must be willing to attend required classes at the approved school.
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to and from various job sites in the listed counties and required classes at the approved school.
- Must live in the geographical jurisdiction of NASCTF, including the listed counties in New York State, excluding Nassau, Suffolk, and the five boroughs of New York City.
- Must be willing to travel to various locations within the geographical jurisdiction of NASCTF, excluding Nassau, Suffolk, and the five boroughs of New York City.
- Must provide military transfer card or discharge form DD-214, if applicable, after selection and before enrollment in apprenticeship.
- Must attend an in-person information session before submitting an electronic application.
- Must obtain a passcode at the information session to complete the online application.
- Applications are available online only during the recruitment period.
- All applications must be received no later than June 30, 2027.
