Job requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old; proof of age will be required at the time of the offer of employment.
- Must have a high school diploma or a high school equivalency diploma such as TASC or GED; proof will be required at the time of an offer of employment.
- Must verbally attest that they are physically able to do the work of a Boilermaker (Construction), including working 8 hours continually on feet; lifting and carrying weights in excess of 95 pounds for extended periods; working in extreme weather conditions and temperatures; working in restrictive and confined spaces; working at heights of 20 feet on a scaffold or platform; working in ditches or trenches up to 20 feet in depth; and working in nuclear facilities and hazardous conditions.
- Must be willing to submit to a drug/alcohol test within 48 hours of signing the apprentice agreement. The test will be paid for by the sponsor.
- Must have reliable transportation to report to remote job sites and required classes at the approved school.
